Shannon Hardy (she/her)

Registered Social Worker, Content Specialist in Trauma-Informed Practices

Shannon has been working in the trauma field for 16 years and has been a professional facilitator for 11 years. She is a Registered Social Worker with the NS College of Social Workers and holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Waterloo.

As a professional consultant in Trauma-Informed Practices & Approaches, Shannon works with agencies of all sizes, including universities, law firms, not for profits, government agencies and private businesses to train their management and staff on how to apply trauma-informed approaches to their work with each other and their service users.

Shannon facilitates trainings across Canada and is a frequent guest lecturer on trauma, consent, and organizational change at Canadian universities. She was also the recipient of the 2020 Sexellence award from Sexual Health Nova Scotia for her work in sexual & reproductive justice.

In her therapy practice, Shannon specializes in trauma, anxiety, sexual and reproductive wellness, and 2SLGBTQ care. Shannon's practice is trauma-aware and forward-facing, using a blend of somatic and psychodynamic techniques to help you integrate your trauma wounds and begin to live in a comfortable, well regulated body.
