Geek & Improv Therapy
Geek Therapy is an innovative and highly effective approach that integrates your passions, interests, and fandoms into the therapeutic process. This approach is about meeting you where you are. Instead of simply talking about your feelings in the abstract, we can use the characters, stories, and mechanics of your favourite media to explore real-life challenges.

Improv Therapy blends the spontaneity and playfulness of improv theatre with the intentionality of psychotherapy. It’s not about being funny or performing, it’s about being present, taking risks, and gaining new perspectives. Improv can also open us up to the joy of silliness and the safety of making mistakes in a non-judgemental, collaborative space.

How does it work?
As a certified Geek Therapist, I combine traditional, evidence-based therapeutic models with culturally relevant tools. This isn’t just a casual conversation about your hobbies; it’s a focused way to build a bridge between your passions, fandoms & interest and your therpeutic goals.

By tapping into your enthusiasm for these worlds, we create a safe, engaging, and non-judgmental space. It makes the hard work of therapy feel less intimidating and more accessible. Ultimately, Geek Therapy helps you gain new perspectives, practice social skills, improve self-esteem, and process difficult emotions, all while talking about the things you genuinely love.
Improv Therapy
Fueled by my love of improv and its power to unlock spontaneity and connection, I love to integrate the dynamic methods of Improv Therapy into my practice. Improv Therapy leverages the principles of theatrical improvisation, like “Yes, And,” active listening, and collaboration, to encourage creative expression and address mental health challenges.

By engaging in playful exercises in a safe environment, we can strengthen our communication abilities, promote deep personal growth, and facilitate healing in a supportive, low-stakes environment. My foundational training includes postgraduate certificates in Improv Therapy & Improv Group Therapy and, of course, a lifetime of improv!
